Anzac Artwork

On Tuesday  room 5 did some artwork. We made poppy fields as the background and used red paper to make the poppies and stuck them all over the page. It looked great. All we had to do for the background was get some pastels and draw grass , sky and a sun and tree if we wanted . We then drew poppies on a piece of red  paper  and got a black felt and drew a little circle in black. Then we cut it out and stuck them on. Here is a photo of one of the artwork’s.

EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get ready guys because your lawn or backyard will have a hidden stash of Easter eggs!!!

Still that’s not why we are so excited. “Well then what is it you might ask me right now”????

It is when Jesus was crucified and nailed onto the cross. We celebrate Jesus’ death because it’s a sign of how much Jesus loved us; He was also trying to tell us that god was there and wouldn’t let us suffer.

BY BRIANNA CURTIS!!!

Triathlon

Last week on Wednesday most of the seniors in Holy Family School went to Cromwell to participate in the triathlon that was being held. First went the year 5-6 individuals then the year 5-6 teams whizzed past. They all ran 1.5k, biked 4.5k, and swam 4 lengths.
After a quick lunch break our fast year 7-8 individuals set off, not long after they  reappeared the teams went, they seemed to only take a minute to pass by. These guys ran 3k,biked 9k,andswam 6 lengths. We had a lot of participants from Holy Family and we are very proud of those who went.
