The Mummy!
On Saturday in Dunedin mum and I went to the museum to see the mummy.
She is not royal but is very wealthy. I went because my class, room five are learning about Ancient Egypt!!!  Mum and I took even a video of it to show the class. If they send her back to Egypt she will not be loved because she is not royal weird isn’t it. They also had had pots and kettles made out of pure gold.

Swim sports
last Wednesday Emily Heath , Ruby Burk, Sophie h.b, Amy Morris, Lukas Shaffer, Ben Machlochlon, drew Pilkinton went to swim sports. we all got good results. We all learnt something to. I learnt to swim as hard as I can
On Friday room 5 wrote their names in hieroglyphs because they were studying ancient Egypt.
We had to write downwards insted of across because that was how they wrote.
Then we went over it in black pen to make it thick.
After that we painted it in coffee and pushed in coffee beans. I learnt that too much coffee takes out the ink of the pen.
Finally we burnt holes in it but we ended up using up lots of matches!
Swim Sports
Last wednesday ,me,ruby, sophie, amy, lukas, ben and drew went to swim sports. We all got a good result. we all learnt something to.I learnt to not be worried while competing with others. We all agreed that the freakiest thing was standing or wallowing in or on the water \diving board waiting for the clapper to go. Lets say a big thankyou to Miss Starkey ( amanda starkey) hwo walked us up for the practices and walked some people up on the day.cheered us on. And all those times she came with a gret big smile and very happy.

It was very cool at the start Mrs smith  was at the door  and we were out side.Suddenly she got all shaky and said hide hide there coming there coming we all hid and i went under the table . Then it was a relief she was back to normal . after that we had to choose a felling and had to say five lines and the other club members had to guess your felling i did cheeky. then we played charade's everyone picked one from box and again the club members guest.
this was the best part we all got into partners and did our own charade my partner and i did a princess charade were i was a slave and Lucy was a princess  and we practised then showed then it was the end of class we did a prayer and Mrs smith said we need to bring a special thing then went home i cant wait till next time.

On Wednesday we had clubs. I was in ICT club.First we decided what we wanted to do this term for ICT.We decided to make animated movies. We went in pairs and I went with Archie. It was really annoying because the camera we were using was not saving the pictures. We overcame this and made a train crash movie using room 1's trainset.

Mummifying in Room 5

Last week room 5 had a blast mummifying each other. We all skipped the embalming but five people got wrapped in toilet paper. Brianna, Laurie, Sophie,Drew and Ben were the five people getting wrapped. Jody, Lukas, Ruby and James were wrapping Brianna.
Brianna found it hard breathing while covered in toilet paper. Brianna had to keep still other wise the toilet paper would break. At the end it was the successful but there was toilet paper flying around EVERYWHERE so everyone joined in to help collect it.
